About Kristie Speck

A yoga and vipassana practitioner since 1990, Kristie received her yoga certification from Karuna Center for Yoga and the Healing Arts in North Hampton MA in 2002. Further study includes weeklong intensive workshops with Rodney Yee and Iyengar master Manuso Manos.  She still continues to practice with Eileen Muir and Tom Gillette and has taught in many local venues. Most recently in therapeutic and restorative classes from her home studio.

Kristie is a lifelong student of dance. Formal training includes ballet and modern dance with Heather Ahern, African with Michelle Bach-Coulibaly, and Middle Eastern dance with Sabra Jamal, Nourhaun Sharif and Shadia Malouf in Rhode Island as well as New York masters Pat Hall and Elainia Lentini. She has performed and taught for more than ten years as a soloist and with the troupe Fuego Flamenco in a variety of local venues and private functions, and is the choreographer and director of Sheherazade's Sisters.
