...for Early Childhood...
"I believe that storytelling is a great literacy tool. It makes a difference to hear a story, to see pictures in your mind and to have words evoke characters and settings."
- Mark Binder, in the RI Parents Paper
Stories engage young listeners. Mark tells stories that hook them, and keep them listening.
And if their attention wanders, he has a bag of tricks and songs that re-engage them and bring them back to the narrative.
Mark works with Early Childhood ages 3-6.
Story sessions are 20-25 minutes for the 3-4 year olds and 35-45 minutes with the 5-6 year olds.
He has a huge repertoire of stories that change based on the needs of the listeners, the season, and even the weather.
"We highly recommend that every parent, child, caregiver and teacher attend any event or workshop presented by Mark Binder!"
- Joan Serra, Families Learning Together, Westerly, RI
You can invite Mark back again and again and every time he'll have new stories to add to the old favorites.
His book, "The Bed Time Story Book" and CD "Classic Stories for Boys and Girls" are perfect examples of Mark's work and ability to capture the imagination.
Mark also offers training program for adult caregivers, and parent-child-family programs.
